The Shiptime app keeps track of the ship’s time even if your phone’s time changes. Automatic time zone updates can change your phone’s time without you knowing it. This could make you late getting back to the ship, or miss time in port by getting back too soon. In any case, the time you set as the ship’s time will not change once you set it. It is completely independent from the time on your phone. The app also allows you to enter the “all aboard time” and allows you to request that a notification be sent to your phone as a reminder to get back to the ship.
